Changing

In the beginning life is about achievements like sitting up, then crawling, then walking.  Later going to school, getting a degree, then another degree, then getting a job, then a promotion.  Getting an apartment, then a house, then a bigger house. Sometimes it's just about getting there or the next big thing.

I forget just to appreciate the now, the present. My goal is to appreciate who I am, where I am and what I have. It's hard when you've been raised to "collect" accolades or to keep reaching for bigger and better things.

Can you peacefully take a walk?  Just a walk and calm yourself.  Not think about to do lists, or the laundry piling up, dinner has to be cooked, etc.  Just a walk where you could appreciate the scenery, your path, reflecting on all the good you did that day, and perhaps a talk with G-d.  Do you meditate in silence to calm your mind?

That's my goal to quiet my mind from all that unnecessary chatter and thoughts.

I've been complaining way too much.  I'm too tired, too exhausted.  I don't want to work.  I sound like a broken record and things need to change.

So here's to being more positive, enjoying my days, and appreciating who I am.

Take care lovelies!
